Highlands Ranch Dentist and Denver Dentistry
Highlands Ranch dentist, Dr. James DeLapp and Dr. H. Candace DeLapp have been in practice for over 40 years combined. In 2006 they moved their office from Quebec and Arapahoe Road to their new Highlands Ranch dental office at Quebec and Lincoln. This move allowed them the opportunity to design a state of the art dental practice in Highlands Ranch. The design of a new office allows support of new technology and it computer capabilities.
These Highlands Ranch dentists have each treatment room networked with digital radiography and digital photographic imaging. Digital x-rays allow virtually instant imaging of equal or greater diagnostic value than traditional film based x-rays. Digital photographic imaging allows this Highlands Ranch dentist to take a series of photographs both inside and outside your mouth. These photographs allow a magnified look at older silver fillings (as an example) to see if the seal on these dental restorations is beginning to breakdown. If we detect the dental filling breaking down… we have the opportunity to intervene and take care of this potential problem before it progresses.
Extra- oral photographs combined with intra-oral photographs allow the doctors to have details about your case never before imagined. When treatment planning or looking at your case… it is as if you are sitting right in front of the doctors for reference and review. Options and alternatives can be investigated and we can design a customonized plan for your dental care.
Philosophy of want based dentistry
The philosophy of want-based dentistry involves listening to you and you deciding what direction you wish your care to take. Our job is to let you know what is possible. Our Highlands Ranch dentists’ design a custom treatment plan and you decide when and how much you would like to do or accomplish. Delaying treatment is an option, but we want you to understand the risks and consequences of delaying treatment. Ultimately, it is your mouth and you need the information so you can make an informed decision based on the best information available.
The dental consultation
Our Highlands Ranch dentists want to meet with you and discuss your treatment options before any treatment if possible. This usually entails meeting with you (and with your significant “other” if you wish) in our consultation room. We then mutually decide on how treatment is to be prioritized and discuss informed consent issues and prognosis. If a cavity is deep and likely to be sensitive postoperatively we make every attempt to advise you of this potential situation “before” treatment. There are instances in which a large filling not only is sensitive but also… may need a root canal. If you understand the complexity of your situation, you can help us monitor healing.
Financing is available
Financing is available through Care Credit to provide you the opportunity to get you the dental treatment completed. Dental insurances are paying less and less of the total bill and this allows you to extend payments as needed.
Please feel free to contact our Highlands Ranch dental office and schedule an appointment. We do offer a no charge initial visit (consultation) if you wish to discuss what direction you would like your dental care to go or if you have questions about certain dental procedures. We may be reached at (303) 694-9740 or by contacting us by e-mail at this link … Highlands Ranch Dentist.
